Subject: Re: Chamberlin sounds

The violins sound wonderful but they are too good to my ears, personally prefer mark II 3 violins and the M300a violins with all their quirks. I suppose it depends on what you want to use them for. The mandolin voice sounds much more useable.

Would these sound a lot different played through a chamberlin? I would guess that they would.

This master is the actual one that the MKII violins were copied from. Mike Dickson has updated the Tape Library website, recorded demonstration pieces and added narrative in his own unique style. The clarity of the original recordings are breathtaking.
