I think Jerry looks great. Like me, he's getting a little creaky as he gets older. I'm older than he is, though.

Jerry just has had too much going on in his life and no time to work on Mellotrons He and his mom were very close. I truly think that he was broken-hearted when she passed away. It is obvious when you meet Jerry that he is a very loving person. With the passing of his mother, Jerry became to sole surviving member of his entire family. That's a tough burden.

To be honest, we really spent time just visiting and also trying to figure out how to watch a DVD on my computer. We didn't really spend too much time on his future in Mellotron restoration. I asked him if he might come back to it and he was noncommittal. I don't think his heart is in it right now. I don't really know Jerry very well, but I'd like to. I wish we lived closer to each other. Sadly, Vermont is a long way from Virginia. It would be fun to work together on a project.

Jerry and I discussed some issues I'm having sorting out the 4-track and both agreed on where the solution was. He was pretty surprised to learn that it was serial #1. I showed him my shop and my James Brown singing doll. He took a look at the cabinet for 1541 and agreed that is the worst one either of us have ever seen. I have a lot of Mellotron parts and miscellaneous crap. I'm betting he has even more.

I have no interest in taxidermy. I do have an interest in Mellotron related stuff. Beyond his Mellotron knowledge, as the last remaining Korb, Jerry is eminently collectible. ;-)

Thanks for sharing, Frank.  Jerry's looking younger than the last photos I saw of him.

Out of curiosity, did he comment at all on why he was hanging up the mellotron mantle?   In regards to Korb collecting, just don't tell us that your new hobby is taxidermy.
