Archive of the former Yahoo!Groups mailing list: The Mellotron Group

I've been looking at getting something (cheap) to replace M-Tron for the bread and butter sounds. I've heard a little about this program called "redtron." Downloaded it but it's a windows .dll and this is a mac.

1stly, anyone know how to get it to work on OS 10.5.8?

2ndly, any general comments about this program? I'm especially looking for MkII violins that can be aggressive if I need it, and MkII flute that actually has a clear bite and resonance the way the real tron deal does. M-Tron flutes certainly do not.
