The Zombies - Odessey and Oracle (1967) Is a keeper!
A fair amount of Rod Argent Mellotron. Strange stereo balance at times...but I love it anyway.

I don't seek out mellotronic albums although I did in the early 1970s and bought a lot of indifferent and weak music. A mellotron can be the perfect adjunct but it's level of involvement does not dictate the ensuing quality. The much revered Czar album remains musically impoverished despite being smothered in tape replayness! I am slowly despatching mellotronic progrock to the recycling bin.
