I document nearly everything. When they pick up their machines my clients get a CD with hundreds of photos broken down into disassembly and reassembly of individual components. They also get a special instruction pack that gives them a specific maintenance routine as well as instructions on how to keep the keyboard in peak adjustment. Since about 2007 I have also made some short videos that I send them letting them see where I am in the process.

This is the 35th machine I have worked on.

Really nice Frank!  Do you document all of your restorations?

How many have you done over the years?

I have posted this video on you tube. It is private so please don't embed or link to it. It will only be available for a while. I made it as a progress video for a John Hammaren, for whom I am restoring an M400. Since the video was shot, I am quite a bit farther along. I will post a few more private videos as I go.
