Hi Charles,

Good point.  I saw the display on the M4000D and wondered how robust the unit will be.  I have a Roland Juno G where the LCD display has gone out twice, after warranty of course.  About $200 to have repaired each time.

I got to wondering about any potential "tech issues" which might develop down the road with the digital unit. Since these are small run, hand made instruments and the only support is in Sweden, what happens in case of malfunctions...or what exactly COULD go wrong with these and how easily are they fixed by local repair places? What's the breakdown rate on Memotrons? (has anyone heard?) It's not like tape replay where you can change a single broken tape or blown capacitor. I magine the whole thing is on a motherboard but what issues could potentially develop? How long will the ROM last? etc. etc. If I got one it's not like I would want to ship it back and forth from Ohio to Sweden for repairs. I assume all parts are easily replaced locally (except the sounds).
