I'm all for new sounds. No matter how good they sound when they're recorded, those good old 40 year old (at least) low impedance heads are going to "Tron" them up just fine. I love the new Cello and Viola. Put Cindy and her Viola in the room with a Mellotron and it won't sound the same. Besides, if you blend new sounds with the older ones it screws them up even more. Anything played through a Mellotron sounds cool to me.
