Well, here is what I've come up with. I know the
horse is dead already. . . but this is AH after all.

The Jp8 has independent outs, so I'm monitoring only
the upper voice in dual mode, so it is NOT a layer.

With the balance all the way to the right. . . on the
Upper voice. . . the max volume is maybe 50% louder
(quite a bit louder). As if the balance knob provided
extra gain.

It is hard to say if it sounds better. I think it
does. I could be wrong. In any case, the extra gain
is nice and it doesn't sound worse. . .

I'd be curious to see what other people with 8's come
up with.
