Hi folks,
Noticed something last night. When my JP8 with Encore Midi is in dual mode
(or "layer" mode), the sound is louder than when it is in whole mode. I'd
just keep in dual all the time, but of course you cut the polyphony in half.
I'm not sure, but it seems like the sound becomes fuller and more resonant
as well. I had difficulty A/B'ing the difference though due to the volume
change.
Is there something wrong with my Jp8? Is it the midi kit? Have I missed
some kind of basic law of the physics by which polyphony is inversely
related to phat?
