Hi,
I have both versions and recently sat down with them side-by-side in
order to decide which one to sell.
On the surface of it they sound very similar.
The v4's filter can be driven into overdrive and the resonance can be
pushed much further into self oscillation.
The decay rate of the amp envelope of the v4 is also significantly
longer then the v5.
Apparently they also did something to the cross mod as the v5 doesn't
seem quite as bold.
Other then these more noticible differences the difference in general
quality of sound is ∗very∗ subtle.
But I decided they were different enough that I couldn't choose one and
kept both :-)
