Hi Neal,

depending wich software revision you have, the JP-6 will power up in Omni
mode. To select Poly mode, you press and hold the tune button while pressing
the patch select buttons 1-8 ( or patch group 2, patch select 1-8 for
channel 9-16 ). When using the JP in split mode it will recieve on two
channels, the one you choose ( upper ) and +1 for lower.

Good luck,

Subject: [AH] Please Help my jupiter6

I don't know what's going on but my jupiter6 is stuck in omni mode! I just
got the unit recently and when hooking it up to midi I realized it was
receiving on all channels. Also, I can't access both timbres in split mode
via midi. I was told that it is a bitimbral synth and the first sound can be
accessed via midi channel1 and the second can be accessed via channel2. I
can't do this on mine. Do i have an older version of the jp6. Please help
me, I need to know if I can get this thing fixed or if there is some setting
I can enable to make it work with omni off and have access to both timbres
individually via midi.
