Subject: [AH] juno 106 jupiter 6 unison/portamento

I have the 106 and have been thinking of getting the jupiter to add to my
rack ( wouldnt they be nice together?) I wonder how the unison mode sounds
on the jupiter, and the portamento, compared to the juno. the juno
portamento only seems to trigger once per note, unless its in unison, or if
it is switched off then back on again, its kinda weird. The unison mode is
strange as well. For some reason the sound jumps around a lot when keys get
pressed. My theory is that for some reason the synth lets the oscillators
run free or otherwise get into different phases somehow. It seems to happen
more often when multiple keys are pressed. So in essence, the phase
concellation and beating etc is switched sometimes, and it can change the
sound fairly drastically at times. So, does the jupiter do this? Does the
jupiter portamento work in a similar fashion or does it slide every note (
or glissando ) until switched off? Thanks.
