Subject: [AH] CR-78 mods, JP-6 mod, 808 mod

hello

Thanks for the replies to my Q about the Moogerfooger phase. I think that
the "audible" quality of that AUX output needs to be more clearly documented
in the manual. It still sounds great, just wanted to be sure there wasn't
something wrong with mine.

Now I have some questions about various mods i'm considering. My comments
are based on some kits I saw on the Concussor UK site. These are all mods
that I would like to do eventually. Looking for any experience with these
particular kits, OR suggestions for other kits (better kits &/or cheaper
kits). Preferably in North America -- I'm in Canada myself & UK prices
always seem so high...

Check:

http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~concuss/

CR-78:
1. Midi retrofitted for clock i/p & Instrument triggers
2. Multiple o/ps for 10 instrument voices -- this is my first priority!
Wondering how it fits on the instrument, are the o/ps noisy...
3. Tonal mods - an external box: looks like it could be nice but I am
concerned about it being difficult to get the exact original tone (I've
heard this is the case with some 808 mods)

JP-6:
1. 2 o/ps for the 2 voices -- I really want this as well

808:
1. Midi retofitted for clock i/p & Instrument triggers -- I'm sure there are
a lot of kits for this out there, so I suspect I could get something like
this in NAmerica.

Advice appreciated,

thanks

Jason
