Subject: [AH] Jupiter-6 repairs

Hi AH,

Anyone know a good tech for Jupiter-6's in Vancouver? Mine
has something that I don't want to fix myself and the Roland
repair guy seems to be completely stuck (does not seem to
really even understand the problem). I guess I will have to
fix it myself which really sucks... time tick tock tick....

Anyhow for those that are interested, the problem is that
VCO-2 drifts out of tune rather soon after power up. VCO-1
is always in tune nicely and the lock from VCO-1->VCO-2
makes VCO-2 lock perfectly. This is across the board for
all 6 VCO's in whatever mode. This should make it simple
to fix right? It must be the DAC or something around that
area that sets the VCO-2 tuning bias. I assume this is
on the CPU board because it affects all voices the same.
Why would this be such a problem?

Anyhow, any advice on techs or JP-6 repair in general is
appreciated.

Cheers,
K.
