Subject: [AH] need help fixing jupiter 6
greetings.
i'm new to this great resource. brent haeseker "sent" me. :-)
i have a jupiter 6, beautiful shape, 100% functional ∗except∗ for four
buttons and one pot. the buttons are: the two glide buttons, the 4-2
keyboard voice-distribution button, and the arpeggio down button.
they don't light when pressed and they don't function. the pot is the
vco1/2 mix. everything works perfectly when using presets; it's in
manual mode that the problems ensue.
a couple of questions:
1. is there anywhere around that would sell me a replacement pot for
the vco1/2 mix? or should i just buy a generic pot and use that?
2. is it more likely that the buttons themselves are broken and need
to be fixed/replaced or that there is something wrong with the circuit
board? all four problem buttons are on the same circuit board ... but
then again, the remaining 10 or so buttons and all sliders on this same
board work perfectly.)
is there a place where i could buy replacement buttons?
thanks very much for any help you can offer,
rick scott
