I suppose it is a software virtual instrument .
But sit down , relax and start thinking a minute brothers .... The AN1X
is also called "virtual analog" synthesizer , and you want to use the
virtual clone (?) of an already virtual instrument ? And you need a
keyboard to play too , even plugged into a computer port . So why not
try "the real thing" ? Assuming that a second hand synth could be
cheaper than a dedicated software and a control keyboard , i can't see
where is the advantage of the "virtual virtual" solution .
Maybe i'm too conservative ?
For me these softwares could be useful to re-create (more or less) the
sounds of rare and expensive old time synths : very few people can
afford a modular ARP or Moog . Then first they have to find one still
playable (good luck !)∗ , have a large room to stack their half ton of
electronics , a good knowledge of analog circuits to fix the countless
failures ....

∗ For example here in France we have less than ten EMS Synthi 100 , most
of them in studios , music schools or museums ...
