Ah, well, yes, I have been over generalising a bit here. With 'most
people' I meant the people that seemed to have trouble getting AN1xedit
to work and have mailed this list. But it was just meant as a figure of
speech, as introduction to the questions I posted below.

Yes and no, my main development environment would be Linux, thus already
tailoring towards the more tech-savvy people. Furthermore the idea is to
open-source the project, building a community (perhaps) around it. No
commercial idea behind it. Just like with the AN1xedit. And the support?
Hmm, it "should work straight out of the box after compiling hell" ;)
Of course, the more user friendly it would turn out to be, the better,
but currently there is no way that I have found, of editing the AN1x
from a Linux based environment. An itch I might be able to scratch, if I
can get my head to it.

Ah! The AN1x Data list, ok. Because the AN1x manual doesn't really hold
that much info. I'll check up on the Data list in the files section.
