I've not worked with a Digi001 first hand. I recall discussions on other forums regarding
the integrated MIDI Interface onthe Digi 001 - and a quick Google turns up some old
posts, so I suspect what you are experiencing is what I eluded to in a previous reply: the
bulk transfer is dropping SysEx packets enroute to your AN1x.

The reasons for this are varied and a quick search of the list archives will show this has
been a long standing concern. The AN1x SysEx dumps are unusually large in size - more
so than the average synthesizer - and this is design limitation on Yamaha's part that will
not be revisited. This issue has dogged users of both platforms - particularly in the case
of USB MIDI Interfaces - and we've had many discussions recommending one MIDI
Interface or the other. I suspect the drivers for the Digi001 have not seen an update (or wil
see an update) for many years - introduced in 2000, wasn't it?

Sorry this isn't much help, if you have the opportunity to try another MIDI Interface I would
suggest doing so (I use a discontinued Emagic MT4 and it works a treat!)
