Subject: Annoying enthusiasm

I know my enthusiasm (spelled right?) can be annoying. I have made
that experience before. But I just started reading the guidelines
about the modulation matrix and this reminds me of what I like so much
about Yamaha (with the exception of the SY77): it´s the smallprint.
While others who shall not be named, show of with features lists THEY
do it right, giving us toys to play with for years. Ok, we have to
find our way into it. And by reading the manual the first time we may
find ourselves dizzy and confused. But then going on, finding our way
through trial and error, what a reward...! Remembering the Matrix 6 R I
once had to sell: I sometimes could no longer understand WHAT I was
doing.
You really wanna proof yourselves being synthesists? Try to
make some small improvements on a sound with many "Cross-modulations"!
Wanna enjoy yourselves? Just turn the knobs and expect the unexpected.
Sorry, I know it´s annoying. Just can´t help it.
Tom
