OK, now that we're done with the ridiculous part of this conversation... :-)
The ribbon controller is VERY COOL. What's this talk of buzz, buzz, whatever?
Look, one of the most common uses for it is to have it open the filter as you
move toward the right, and close it moving toward the left. Pressure is mapped
in the control matrix to resonance very often. (I'm trying very hard to
remember a factory patch that uses it this way... I think I'm only using about
15 of the factory patches and the rest are my own creations or goodies I've
picked up from the group.) OK, I remember one... Bronze (don't know the number,
my AN1x is at another location). I'm sure with this typical analog French Horn
emulation they mapped the filter to the X-Y axis. Try it out. It can make a
very useful swelling in the tone.
I suggest you enable it (the ribbon) again, and try it with a few factory
patches and then report to the list what happens with each. If you get
crackling or bad stuff that isn't supposed to happen, then maybe the hardware is
defective. If so, you can live without it, although it is VERY COOL.
Hope this helps.
