<a tad going off>
Each synth I have has it's own little thing that sits it apart from the rest. Many overlaps, that is true but there are unique items to each that I try to use.
There is also the GAS theory one can use as well. ;-)
(AN200, DX200 and I just added a RM1x) are on a A-Frame stand where the darkstar, zoom rt323 and 3 nano-synths reside.
I did not pull the cards out of the AN or DX units like I thought I would and place into the s-80. I decided to use them in the box as they are, so I can seq. them each for future live use. The s-80 right now is being used 100% by my wife with one of her bands so I use the Triton Extreme to feed these creatures or Sonar (another reason). There is much more hanging around in the studio...(including the ION of course) ;-)
I too think I the funds I spend for the AN200 and DX200 was worth it. Great units. One does need to use the editor to get deeper but even surface knob level is not bad. They also work great as seq. and midi control to the extreme and other synths. Good flexible units.

<snip> Does the "P5 sound"
better than my Ion, and they compliment each other
nicely.
