True, more often then not, because it is a generally accepted standard that CC#1 is
assigned to MW just as CC#7 is often assigned to FV - but it doesn't HAVE to be.

Not entirely accurate as ANY MIDI CC may control modulation.

This also is not entirely correct. If the ModWheel, as in your example - CC#1, is not
assigned a Parameter in the CtrlMatrix it should NOT have any affect. This is how it works
on the AN1x, but we are at a loss to explain why it should differ on the AN200.

No, you would have to change the Parameter assigned to MW in the CtrlMatrix.

As I'm writing this reply I'm running AN Expert Editor (under Classic in OS X) and I see
under for Common [DETAIL] which invokes the 'Detail Parameter' window (also accessible
from the Ctrl Matrix [DETAIL] button) there is a block of parameters for LFO Assign Group
which allows for five different options:

LFO1(All)
LFO1(VCO1,VCO2,VCA) - LFO2(VCF)
LFO1(VCO1,VCO2) - LFO2(VCA,VCF)
LFO1(VCO1) - LFO2(VCO2,VCA,VCF)
LFO2(All)

and then there are parameters for LFO Delay , Key On Reset, and Sync Pmod Sw. From the
AN Expert Editor manual:

"This determines the destination choices for the LFO 1 and LFO 2 modulation. When one
of the "(All)" settings is selected, all of the available destinations (VCO1, VCO2, VCA, and
VCF) are grouped to the selected LFO, 1 or 2. The LFO blocks in the main panel control
automatically change when this parameter is set. The basic parameters of Wave and Speed
(as well as the Detail page) remain intact for both LFOs, no matter what setting is made
here."

It seems to me this setting may be contributing to the problem.

Furthermore info:

"The control change numbers for AN AC 1-4 can be set with the AN Native parameters (on
the panel of the "mother" device). Each Preset Voice has four pre-assigned control change
numbers using this function (refer to the AN Voice List in the PLG150-AN Owner's
Manual)."

and the manual continues:

" The Control Change numbers for the Mod Wheel, Foot Volume, Foot Control, Footswitch,
Ribbon Controller-X, Ribbon Controller-Z and AN AC 5-8 can be set from the AN1x
System Parameters (refer to the MIDI Data Format section in the PLG150-AN Owner's
Manual)."

I'll hit the manual again with a fresh set of eyes once I've had some sleep ;-)
