Finally managed to get the AN1X to sound only on channel 2, the
Vintage Keys to sound on channel 1, thereby letting me switch from
either source simply by changing the MIDI transmission channel. This
is probably old hat to folks that are familiar with MIDI. Per Bruce
Wahler,I hooked MIDI out from the AN1X to the Vintage Keys, then
hooked the MIDI out from the Vintage Keys to the AN1X. Then I spent
two hours looking at both manuals trying to figure out what was going
on. I have no idea what combination finally worked. Hit it by luck
more than anything else. I do remember I had to assign each AN1X
scene to channel 2.
How come they don't have nice clear instructions on how to do basic
stuff in the manual? They always have cool little diagrams of various
MIDI setups, but never tell you how to do it.
