Subject: multi timbral drum programming

I spent some time playing with the sequencer yesterday trying to get
some multi timbral drum sounds. Got nowhere. Realized I need to have
the free eg working on one scene, the sequencer on the other scene-in
other words use the free eg as a second sequencer.
I'll post some patches once I get something interesting. I'm not a
good drum programmer. Everything is too busy.
If you set the sequencer CC parameter to aftertouch, then use
aftertouch to increase the delay and reverb return you can get a nice
dub reggae sound almost a drum roll. Sounds nice if used sparingly.
like on note #5 and note #13. Set the delay to tempo delay. Give
yourself an interesting beat--I like 3/32.
In the control matrix, setting the FM depth to keytrack and turning
it up all the way will give you a variety of different pitched drum
sounds, kind of marimba like. The timbre changes depending which note
you play.
You can use the step sequencer velocity to control a lot of
parameters. I like to use it for filter depth and resonance.
