Difficult to tell from your desrciption. Suggest you try the following:

Hvae you reduced the settings for Pitch Depth and FM Depth to '0' under SYNC/FM?

What about the settings for PWM Depth under VO1 and VCO2 and AMOD Depth and FMOD
Detph under VCA and VCF/Mix, respectively?

When you turn the LFO to value to '0' you are not disabling of the LFO, you are reducing
the frequency at which the LFO modulates the destination parameter(s). Reduce the Depth
settings to elimiate the modulation.

I don't know if 'preset 238' is availabe in our Files section or not - would you happen to
have the name for this Voice so it might be cross referenced by AN1x or PLG users too?

Correct. Setting the Alogrithm to Sync+FMbth, Sync+FMmst or Sync+FMslv determine how
the two VCO1 oscillators (master and slave) are connected in relation to the FM signal. Use
the FM Depth, FM Source1 and FM Source2 parameters. Example:

Set Algo = SyncFMbth, FM Depth = +12, FM Source1 = LFO1. Adjust the LFO1 speed. Now
set Algo to each of the other two options and repeat the test. Hear the difference?

Now try setting the LFO1 Wave =s/h, reduce the LFO1 speed and increase FM Depth =
+32. How's that for sample and hold?!?! Make sense now?

Are you using AN1xEdit or AN Expert Editor? If not, you should be. If I recall correctly, my
friend complained the Pitch paremeters for VCO1 & 2 could NOT be set from the front
panel controls of his AN200. IMO, it sounds as though your describing the same limiation.
You'll need to use one of the editor/librarians to gain access to the Pitch value :-/
