Subject: Re: [AN1x] AN1x as controller?

My $.02 are that the AN1x isn't a specially good controller. Keys and
aftertouch are lightweight and it only transmits one MIDI channel at a
time. It's a great standalone synth, though. The control matrix and
knobs are real useful, and the ribbon is fun.

The AN1x FAQ should give you a hint or two about it...

I've heard great comments on the CS6x but never tried one personally.
However, it's a few times more expensive than the AN1x.
