If you take the time to review the thread I think you'll find the responses=
contained
URL's to individual web sites - not actual .mid or MP3 files uploaded to AN=
1x-list.
The Yamaha software in question is copyrighted and had not been made availa=
ble by
Yamaha for distribution on the internet. If we make an exception 'just this=
one time'
than we raise expectations that perhaps we can make an exception next time =
- and
the time after that and so on...at the end of the day somebody has to be th=
e grown
up and say 'no.'
Considering the length of time I've moderated this list and the frequency a=
t which this
topic has been expanded upon my position should should not come as a surpri=
se.
And for what it's worth, it doesn't take a heck of a lot of imagination to =
find online
resources - even at Yahoo! Groups - that will accomodate file sharing in va=
rying
degree's of legitamcy.

I don't recall anybody implying or accusing anybody of being a 'crook'. No =
doubt the
£20 fee could be written off as a cost of doing business along with your ot=
her
software licensing fee's. Check with your tax accountant.
