The SEQ Hold function is found under the VOICE ARP/SEQ menu; the ARP/SEQ
can be set to control Scene 1, Scene 2, or both. This flexibility
allows you to assign the SEQ/ARP to one of the two Scenes (where you may
use the HOLD function if you so choose) while using the Sustain pedal
for the second Scene layered with the 1st. Or, you can split the two
scenes across the keyboard and
have one use the ARP/SEQ (with or without the Hold function) and the
other half of the keyboard will behave as normal. This is a pretty cool
design, IMO. I like this flexibility. I've not worked with many other
synths that have a built in arppegiator but the two I recall - Juno-60
and DW-8000 - each had a dedicated Hold parameter for the Arpeggiator.

To summarize, the Sustain pedal does not affect the ARP/SEQ as there is
a dedicated Hold parameter for that function.

Jon
