That is good to know Jon. I am saving this post. I am still in the market for a midi controller and I am still leaning towards Korg microkontroler but it too has some quirks. Behringer just released some controllers as well but I have not had the chance to touch or find anything other than Behringers site to look at... and I have not thought about this for a few weeks either as I don't have the funds to buy... but before I do.. I will dig again and see what I come up with.

For me sure, it is fine to use your synth for a controller once in a while but I really like to have a controller that I can just use just for that VST or other synth (like the darkstar). I sometimes like to have them playing all the tracks at once I am working on so I can fiddle with them a bit... The way I am doing it now, I play back the audio I recorded and fiddle... works but fiddle with it live then reset to record would be more ideal for me... I do things different, I know...
