I've been using the AN1XEdit for dumping patches to the PLG150-AN Plug-In
card on a Yamaha Motif8 and discovered that there is an option to dump a
SINGLE or ALL voices.. ALL VOICES needs to be SELECTED before ALL Patches
are BULK DUMPED..
Try installing MIDIYOLK, a MultiMIDI PORT Client, excellent for routing MIDI
ports between programs installed on a PC and can be empoyed to record
complete SYSEX dumps between programs which store there data in a particular
file format.. I've done this using the AN1XEdit sent the data to a MIDIYOLK
Port and re-routed the data to another program.. I have also used SendXF a
cute little Freeware Utility that can export SYSEX data from another program
like An1XEdit - great for saving SYSEX BULK DUMPS all in one single file..
As you know, you can transmit SYSEX DUMPS from a lot of programs, even MIDI
sequencers like Cakewalk/SONAR..
Try selecting ALL Patches and bulk dump that see if this works..
MIDIMan have a patch you can download for Windows XP for MultiMIDI Ports
which fixes Windows MIDI restrictions.. The Patch is meant for MIDIMan
MultiPort devices but I should expect it should work generically in that it
informs the Windows registry to enable 9 x MIDI Clients each that can have 8
ports.. Maybe this'll help expand your system and free-up the Soundblaster
card hogging your resources?

Just an idea..
Let us know how you get on..
