Subject: X-Mod on a PLG150-AN

Anybody knows anything about X-mod on a PLG150-AN?

This is what I found out but I am not sure if its right. Please
comment.

Cross Modulation is an alternative frequency modulation to FM. The
primary difference is the method . FM is based on a logarithmic
algorithm while Cross Modulation is based on a linear algorithm.
They sound different. Cross Modulation gives a metallic sound.

Cross Modulation works only on VCO2. It used either Triangle wave or
Sine Wave. There are 2 parameters to work on; Modulation Source an
Modulation Depth.

If You use the AN Expert Editor, You get the right parameters on the
screen when You choice Triangle or sine as wave for VCO2.

If You use Gregson's AN1X Editor You don't get any information on
Cross Modulation, but it works on the same matter. The parameters is
shared with VCO2 Pulse Width Modulation Source and Depth.

The Modulation Source is Fixed, PEG, FEG, LFO1, LFO2. The depth is
between –64 to 63.

You can use Cross Modulation to modulate VCO2 or use VCO2 with Cross
Modulation to modulate different parameters on VCO1.

VCO2 is a modulation source to VCO1 Pulse Width Modulation, VCO2 to
VCO1 Sync, and as a FM modulation source to VCO1.
