Thanks to Ed and Bruce for the responces. I knew the AN1x had a mod
matrix and I do have the manual in pdf format. I just wanted to relay
my findings to my friend who was curious.

As for my question on the contrast, I'm not surprised there's no
adjustment, but oh well, at least the fonts are reasonably sized.

I don't think the machine will be that hard to program, I've already
gotten a decent whurly ep patch, a split combo organ sound, and a split
hammond b3 sound just in the day and a half I've had it. I also did a
split patch with a big string sound on top and a choir sound on the
bottom. The FM features came in really handy for the ep sound and the
choir sound.

Hi Pete,

You won't look back, good choice.

Unfortunately, no.

Yes. The manual is very detailed on the matrix patching. IIRC 16
routings sounds about right. If you don't have the manual it's out
there somewhere on pdf format. Email me personally if you can't find it
& I can forward it along. Here's a great discussion from our list's
files section on programming the mod matrix:

If this link gets chopped up in the email send, then just click on the
list page link at the bottom of this (or any AN1x list) message and go
to the files section. Tips & Tricks is where this link is and it is in
2 parts.
