heya there fellow 'n1xers,

my dear yammie an1x seems to have died while moving it to my new home, as all it still does is make a lot of random flangey noises which seem to come from its synthesis engine .. the sound does react to the amplification lfo, but for the rest there's not much of it left resembling what was once a 'control synthesizer' .. :(

i already did a factory reset and will try using another adapter this week, but i can hardly imagine this being the source of my problem .. i'm wondering if there are any people who have had this same problem, and whether this can be fixed, and if letting yamaha fix it (if they still do this, i have no warranty whatsoever) would be cheaper than buying another an1x secondhand ... also, isn't it odd for a digital synth to make weird noises when it's broken instead of providing some kind of error message on the screen?
