Hi Jimmy,

Fender Twins and Roland Jazz Chorus models were popular, as were dedicated keyboard amps like the Peavey KB300. Many players I knew used those little powered mixers by Peavey, Carvin, etc.

They ran all over the map. On the tube side: Silvertone twin-12 combos (similar sound to a Twin Reverb, but less power), Fender Deluxes and Twins, Ampeg Gemini Sixes and B15S/B15N combos, Vox AC30 and AC50 combos. On the transistor side: Vox Super Beatles, Acoustic 360s (with the horn), various combos by Standell, Silvertone, Danelectro, etc. (Iron Butterfly was fond of Super Beatles and Acoustic 360s.) I used a Silvertone 50W 2-12" that sounded really nice, and later an Ampeg VT-40.
Regards,
-BW
