Regarding the debate about what you have and what you really use. I love
both the NordModulars and the Pulse. I know them pretty well, and actually
often end up programming and tweaking them instead of making music. The
piece of equipment I'm least satisfied with is, unfortunatley, the S80. It's
very awkward to program, and the user interface is a nightmare, so it's
mostly used as a preset module + master keyboard. Unfortunatley, it doesn't
excell as a master keyboard either, so I have had thoughts about trying to
trade it for a Kurzweil PC88 and a K2000R(S). I had a PC88 before the S80
(it drowned in a flooding unfortunatley) and of course it doesn't cover as
wide a sonic spectra as the S80, but it's good at what it does, and it's a
superb master keyboard. Combined with a K2000 I don't think i would miss the
S80... The PLG-150AN is also a bit unfriendly to deal with, but it's capable
of some very nice sounds, so in a way, that's the main reason for not
getting rid of the S80 (although the S80 is a rather good "voice-bank" for
more traditional sounds, and it has some amazeing pads...).
