Hello,

I have a Midiman (now maudio) audiophile 2496

http://www.midiman.com/products/m-audio/audiophile.php

a PCI audio card with all in
(MIDI 2 stereo in/out and SPIDIF coax in/OUT)

I use XP, Soundidver and an1xedit and a lot of SW for sysex transfer
and everything works fine !

actually since I change from an Hoontech XG yamaha midi card
the midi sysex transfers do run much smoother also on Sdiver
and all of my other tons of synths :-)

it is a good card , also not expensive
around 180 euro nowdays

I only have small clicks and pops occasionally
when I use the fancy plugins of Logic 5.5
and I understand from midiman that this card needs a
unique IRQ address to work properly
so I am working on it reshuffling cards in right order
sadly enough XP got 2 shared IRQ automatically on guess what ?
the 2 Audio card :-) ! damm Murphy always there :-)

no experience with USB midi card sorry !
but it u start from 0 u can get audio and midi on 1 card only
and no extra cables beside it seems like timing on USB MIDI card
is not that accurate expecially if the USB cards have more then 2 3 devices
plugged in

Regards
