Hi DManx,

I tried to answer your queries on AN file formats, but it got bounced. I
also answered by private email. In case you didn't receive those emails,
here they are again:

To open ANS files simply set An1xEdit to PLG150AN mode (from setup
menu), then use File open. The file dialog contains a dropdown list of
file types recognised by AN1xEdit. Select XGworks AN PLG files (∗ANS)
and you should be able to see the target ANS file. Select it and open as
usual.

You should note that ANS files do not maintain the comments and system
parameters of AN1 & ANP files. Therefore you should avoid the use of ANS
except for compatibility with the XGworks (and derived standalone)
editor.

Furthermore ANS files are subject to the same parameter conversion
restrictions as ANP files when saving to AN1x AN1 format (see the
introduction section of the An1xEdit Help file for details)

Regarding An200 and An150, it is true that the AN200 uses the PLG150AN
card inside the box. However it also provides a hosting section that
contains an XG effects unit and drum parts. Also the PLG150AN (and thus
the AN200) do provide the arpeggiator and step sequencer of the AN1x!

Morphing on the PLG150AN card (and the AN200) is slightly different to
the AN1x. On the AN1x, morphing is provided between two scene memories
of a single patch. However in the PLG card, there is only one scene per
patch. Hence morphing is provided between the current patch and a patch
stored in the preset or user banks.

To setup morphing using An1xEdit in PLG150AN mode:

1) In the System area (above the onscreen keyboard) set the MSB dial to
the desired morph bank (USER, XG-A or XG-B).

2) Set the LSB and PROG dials to choose the desired patch from the bank

3) Turn on the MORPH LED

By default the Mod wheel will control the morphing. However the
controller can be changed using the SCENE CTRL dial.

To answer you recent questions. It sounds to me as though you are saving
as ANS files, which do not contain comments. Otherwise, you are simply
confused as to what file you are saving and reloading.

>>Also how do I send an150 sounds to xg effects?

What exactly do you mean by this???

Regards

Subject: [AN1x] Voices

Hi,
I'm having trouble saving newly created voices with added comments in
an1xedit.I have created a new user sequence from scratch. Not using any
exg voices to start of with.Once I created the voice, I highlight the
voice and went to both action/bulk section (in user mode),and pressed
send.Then I pressed store current under action/bulk section(in user
mode) sections, then saved the file as .anp file.I close down
anx1edit,then recall it back again, go into user voices, but cannot find
the voice with added comments? But I know which user voice number it
is,so I highlight it,click on send under action/bulk, but here a difrent
voice,so I refresh synth still here a diffrent voice. So I have to hit
send and refresh a number of times till the voice I created comes
back. But still with no name or comments on the patch?
Were am I going wrong?

Also how do I send an150 sounds to xg effects?

Regards
Dmanx.
