I have to agree with Forrest- (edgy and rich are the two words I'd use
to describe the AN200 sound)
I think it does sound like an An1x- but the effects section is more
akin to the DX200.
Definitely worth the $200-
I've even found myself using the built in drums sounds- (did a track
using the hi-hats though the built in flange).
So far I'm not real pleased with the editor (software)- but the built
in sounds are good-
and the editing on the front panel can get me where I want to be in
some cases.
I don't think it would be good for pads due to the limited polyphony
(you may want to try a Darkstar for that).
