I am going to try that too. I hear so many people talk about the
clavia products and that they have more bite than other VA's. To be
sure the filter controls can be very extreme on the Nord. Still, I
wonder if the difference is the effects bath we put these synths
(An1X) through?

So easy to make a good sound and then overprocess it. I do know that
to get close to Emersons big piercing trumpet sound (Karn Evil 9), I
found myself playing a single oscillator patch with no chorus. Less
being more in that case.

Did you bypass the effects, or simply use less of them?
