From my previous post, I think Ed (bastiaan) is right. The Nord Lead DID
have a lot of Prophet 5 patches, and Clavia were one of (or THE) first to
produce a VIRTUAL Analogue synth. SO, since most companies jumped on to
start a trend, it makes sense that Yamaha, rather than outright copying the
Nord Lead, would have said, "Hey we know Sequential's Secrets and can do a
better job of a Prophet 5 emulation or any other analogue for that matter"
and produced the AN1x. Well, that's my conspiracy theory.

You may be thinking of the Nord Lead 1 (Which had many Prophet 5
factory patches released for it).
