I allways thought they used the prophet as a 'template' for the an1x...never heard a real prophet so I couldn't really tell you if it sounds anyting alike.

I like Bruce's take on the sounds but it would be really fun to hear from
someone who actually designed the synth. I was crying for years on the Midi
Guitar list trying to find a bi-lingual engineer type who could translate
some Japanese... and one gentleman finally popped up. I'll ask him if he
can find the 411 from Yammamahahaha themselves.

I had the review from Keyboard back in '97 and they didn't mention anything
I recall about the design parameters - for that matter, none of the VA
synths discussed had any info on the modeling parameters.
