Yes, it does.

Try this - Power off your AN1x; Hold down the [ASSIGN] button on
the front panel while powering on the AN1x; Either "mode1" or
"mode2" will display on the LCD during the start-up procedure.

While in Mode 1 the AN1x adheres to the MIDI standard for
Control Change messages - while in Mode 2 the AN1x has a
special list of CC parameters so that nearly ∗every∗ parameter
can be automated via MIDI CCs. You'll find a table documenting
the Control Change Modes on page 9 of the AN1x Data List - and
you'll find the above procedure documented on page 96 of the
Owner's Manual. If you don't already have hard copies of the
documentation you'll find PDF versions for download in the Files
section here at Yahoo! Groups

The status byte for Portamento is either On or Off - MIDI CC #065
- you can use the Portamento button on the front panel of the
AN1x to disable Portamento - the required MIDI CCC will be
transmitted to your sound module regardless of which mode
your AN1x is in.
