There is a 'volume' parameter...y not use it accordingly?

(this does seem to effect patches with feedback though)

Subject: [AN1x] normalising

Has anyone found an easy way to normalise their patches? In the
course of designing sounds, I've found that the volume varies
greatly. I've taken some steps to minimize this by using unison for
quieter sounds etc, but not all patches sound good in unison. I can
see using a compressor live when I'm playing with knobs, to avoid a
volume spike, but it seems like there should be a good way to fix the
patches so they're all the same value. Does the AN1X edit do this?
Anyone got any tips.
