First, please don't write your e-mail in ALL CAPS. It makes it very
difficult to read.

Now, to your problem. I would hazard a guess that you selected the wrong
MIDI device in the XG Works Lite software. I don't have it myself, so I
can't tell you where to find it, but it sounds like the 'synthesizer' or
'softsynth' or whatever is selected, so that MIDI information goes to
your soundcard audio hardware rather than the MIDI output. See if you
can select 'soundcard MIDI out' or something similar, and see what happens.
