Is the ring modulator volume non-zero?

The ring modulator outputs the sum and difference frequencies of all
of the frequencies in the two oscillators. If the two oscillators are
tuned to the same pitch, the ring modulator puts out a sound similar
to a chorused version of an oscillator.

Could this be it?
