I have not yet tried CellSynth I'm sorry to say. Must put it on the list
of things to do.

Another one I haven't made my way around to.

I've been really happy with the latest freeware from BigTick -
Cheeeze Synth and TickyClav - along with the Emagic ES1 I
bought in June. Plus, I have some new Sample CDs so I'm not
hurting for new sounds ;-)

I don't feel Absynth (now cross platform too) would make a good
replacement for 'imitation analog' such as the AN1x. If you're in
the market for MW XT/Wavestation/K5000/FIZMO type of
weirdness then Absynth is an excellent addition but not as a total
substitute for something else. The next update is ∗suppose∗ to
be out in about a month but I'll believe it when I see it, ya know?
