Well, I think the EX5 series sounds WONDERFUL so yes, no
need for a CS6∗ + PLG. BTW, there's a an EX5 kb at the Fairfax
GC going for $1199 (I think.) They're got a Wavestation EX for
$650 which is tempting but overpiced. They can be had for less
on eBay but still, that model is in very good condition.

The polite word is 'frugal.' - ha ha ha :-)

I auditioned the free VSTi's from Rumpelrausch Täips today and
while the Mac versions are much improved over the earlier
releases they still suffer from drop outs. You'd think to blame it
on either my ASIO buffer setting or system bus speed but I don't
experience these problems with other commercial and
shareware VSTi. Must be something in the Mac port.
