Yes, they're very good. I had my eye open for one when I
stumbled upon a deal for 128x (big brother to the 64x and 64xtc.)
The significant differene between the 64x and xtc models are the
SMPTE read/write options. I don't know if this is important to you -
I don't have any need to sync to video or stand alone DAW
equipment so I never use those features.
In regards to your earlier question on the MOTU MicroExpress -
is that the serial port only versionor the combination USB/Serial
port model? I know that the early USB version used a different
subset of the USB protocol for error correction then the Opcode/
MIDIman, and Roland (Edirol) models but I can't recall anybody
saying it was any improvement. I'd hit a MOTU list and search the
archives...
