Thanks, and I probably will follow that advice in the end, but for now...I had this thing working to the point it was usable and see no reason I shouldn't at least be able to get there again.
The MAIN thing that hits me is....as I mentioned, when I have the AN1X powered up, as soon as I hit the power on the PC the An1x begins flickering...this happens EVEN when I have the device set to OFF. THis puzzles me and also I react to the second power comes on, that means before the drivers are even loaded...we're talking at the hardware level. Unless the BIOS is set to poll there or something like that. It may be something along those lines.
