That's true. However in the case of An1xEdit it attempts to load the
font via the family name 'Small Fonts', so any language version (which
is why some have letter changes) should load.
My guess is still that the Small Fonts have been deleted from the guys
system.

Let me add to Gary's note: Sometimes, there are multiple versions of
the System, Serif, and Sans Serif fonts under windows. These variants
will often have similar names like SYSTEM.FON, SYSTEME.FON, SYSTEMF.FON,
etc. Different programs seem to need the different versions; I have no
idea why, other than that some programmer or toolmaker has hard-coded
the name in the program.
